Council tax scam
Kent County Council Trading Standards is warning the public of fraudsters who are telephoning to tell them they are in the wrong council tax bracket and are owed a rebate of around £6,000.
Scammers will ask for an up-front fee of around £65 in order to process the payment, but no rebate will be issued.
You can check your council tax band for free by contacting the Valuation Office Agency

County Connect 708 bus to Bluewater - now running on Tuesdays from w/c 18/01/16

We have been advised that the County Connect shopper bus service to Bluewater (708), which runs direct via the A2 and takes 20-30 minutes from Meopham, will now be running on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays. This will start in the week commencing 18/01/2016. Please find attached the new timetable. Please share this information with anyone who may be interested in this service. The new time table has been placed on all the notice boards in the parish.
